What is Henotique Merchandise?

Henotique Merchandise is your all-in-one digital partner for turning creative ideas into high-quality apparel, offering a seamless path from concept to full-scale production.

Where are you based?

We’re headquartered in Bucharest, Romania, with our apparel manufacturing taking place nearby, in the industrial hub of Ploiești.

Where are your production locations?

Our manufacturing is powered by top-tier studios and factories across Romania. Printing and embroidery are carried out in Bucharest or Harghita, while the main garment production takes place at our lead factory in Ploiesti.

Do you directly operate the factories in your production network?

We work exclusively with a trusted network of factories under solid partnerships and contracts. This ensures we uphold consistent quality, safe working conditions, and ethical production practices across the board.

When did Henotique Merchandise get started?

The project started in September 2017.

Who founded Henotique Merchandise?

Henotique Merchandise was founded by Călin Burghiu and Eduard Militaru, both with a background in architecture and design. After encountering the challenges of sourcing and producing their own brand, they turned that experience into a collaborative venture aimed at simplifying the process for other creators.

Is previous experience required to start working with you?

Not at all. Our process is designed to be beginner-friendly, offering step-by-step support from concept to production, so whether you’re new to this or already experienced, you can jump right in with confidence.

Where do you source your fabrics from?

We work with fabrics sourced from local artisans and factories, as well as trusted textile suppliers from Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Greece, Japan or South Korea.

Can I get support while creating my product?

For sure! You can reach out anytime!

How much does a sample usually cost?

Sampling typically runs between €200 and €400, depending on how detailed or complex your design is.

Do you assist with fabric sourcing?

Definitely! We’ve got a handpicked group of suppliers and can help you find materials that match your style, budget, and values.

How can Henotique help grow my brand?

Do I have to take care of production myself?

Not at all! Henotique Merchandise takes care of all the production details, so you can focus on what you do best: designing, branding, and bringing your creative vision to life.

When does the clock start ticking on samples and production?

As soon as your invoice is paid, we get your files ready and send them over for your confirmation. After this, production is ready to go. Just a heads-up, there’s a 1-2 week planning phase to lock in all the details. If anything comes up that might slow things down, we’ll keep you in the loop with updated delivery info right through your chosen contact method option.

How much time does it take to launch a collection or a product?

Making a product takes some good planning, especially when you factor in designing and prototyping. Usually, it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months. We recommend starting your design process about 3-4 months before your drop.

How long does sampling and production take?

Sampling typically takes between 2 to 5 weeks, followed by another 5 to 7 weeks for full production, depending on the complexity of your designs and the order volume.

Do I need fashion design experience to get started?

Not at all. Our process is built with non-designers in mind; you’ll have access to step-by-step guidance. For extra support, feel free to contact us.

What should I prepare before starting?

To get started, all you need are your initial ideas, budget and timeline goals. From there, we help you create your tech pack, develop your first prototype, and oversee production, offering hands-on support throughout the process.

Should I expect any size variations when I get my order?

Yes, it’s pretty normal to have a small variation (about 2cm) in the measurements of the finished garment. This happens naturally during production, so we always recommend planning for that little bit of wiggle room.

If I order 50 pieces, will I get exactly that number?

Because each garment is made just for you and goes through a careful quality check, the final count might be a little off, sometimes a few more, sometimes a few less. For orders around 50 pieces, a difference of up to 10% is normal. For bigger orders over 100 pieces, it’s usually within 5%.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is on its way, we’ll send you the tracking info straight to your email so you can keep an eye on it.

Can you help me find the right fabrics?

Absolutely! We’ll help you track down and develop the perfect materials to match your vision. Whenever you’re ready, just book a call with us!

Can I contact you through WhatsApp?

We mainly use email to send and share important files about your garments. But for quicker chats and easier communication, we’re also on WhatsApp! Just fill out the form on our info page and pick WhatsApp as your preferred way to get in touch.

How can I reach out to you?

What payment options do you offer?

For bulk and sample orders, payment is done via bank transfer. Soon you will be able to pay easily with a credit card through a payment processor.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Since every garment is custom-made just for you, all sales are final, so we can’t accept returns or exchanges. But we’re always here to help if you have any questions before ordering!

What if something’s wrong with my delivery?

If you spot any issues with your order, just shoot us an email at contact@henotique.com with a clear description and photos of the problem. We’ll look into it right away, and if it’s a valid case, we’ll sort it out with a replacement, no stress.

What are your payment terms?

We usually work with full upfront payment. However, sometimes we can offer a 50/50 split, half upfront and half before delivery.

Can I print over seams or pockets?

You technically can, but we don’t always recommend it. Printing over seams or pockets can lead to higher production costs, but can be an interesting detail depending on your design.

Can I add custom labels to my products?

Absolutely! You can pick from a few options:

– Polyester labels
– Cotton canvas labels
– Woven labels
 

Are there size limits for prints and embroidery? Can I do all-over prints?

It depends on the specific design and tech pack, but in most cases, we can accommodate each customer’s request. As for all-over prints, yes, we can do them.

Screen print or DTG: which one should I choose?

It really depends on your design and goals. If you're working with smaller quantities or want a faster turnaround, DTG is usually the way to go. But if you're planning a bigger run, say 100+ pieces, screen printing might be the better fit.

What kind of customizations can I add?

We’ve got you covered with a bunch of options: printing, embroidery, all-over prints, patches, custom labels, and more.

What kinds of prints can I pick?

You’ve got lots of options! From classic screen printing to DTF or digital prints, plus special styles like flock, rubber, puff, and full-color CMYK prints.

What kind of products do you focus on?

We mainly focus on textile products — tops, bottoms, outerwear, activewear, knitwear, underwear and more. We can also take on accessories or any wild idea you have in mind. Don’t worry, we have lots of resources! Just send over your tech pack or concept, and our team will let you know what’s possible.

Do you make patterns from scratch?

Yep, we sure do! Our team can create precise cutting patterns and tailor custom fits just for you. Just send over your design and we’ll take it from there.

Do you provide design services?

Yes, we do! We’re here to support you at every step, helping out with the creative process, sketches, designs, pattern making, grading, measurements, placements, and giving tips on the best way to bring your ideas to life.

Where do you ship to?

We ship anywhere in Romania via FanCourier. For international deliveries, we typically use DHL, but we’re flexible and can adapt based on your location, timeline, or preferred shipping method.

What should I do if there’s a mistake with my order?

Just email us at contact@henotique.com within 3 days of getting your order, and include clear photos showing the issue. We’ll open a case and take care of it following our process.
